CNC Toothform Grinders & Precision Grinders Wanted - Rotating 12hr Shifts No Weekends £12.23 - £16.22/hr DOE
The Best Connection are currently recruiting CNC Toothform Grinders and Precision Grinders on behalf of our well-established client based in Sheffield.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected engineering company with long-term potential and the chance for permanent employment for the right candidates.
Role Overview:
We are looking for candidates with experience in either of the following:
CNC Toothform Grinding - Operating specialist CNC grinders to produce precision components to tight tolerances
Precision Grinding - Manual or semi-automatic grinding on high-spec components with a focus on accuracy and surface finish
Key Responsibilities:
Reading and working from engineering drawings
Performing setup, tool changes, and machine adjustments
Maintaining quality standards and performing in-process checks
Working with steel and high-strength materials in a manufacturing environment
Shift Pattern:
12-hour rotating shifts - Days and Nights
Monday to Friday only - No weekends
Pay Rate:
£12.23 - £16.22 per hour depending on experience and skill level
Typical starting rate is £12.76/hr unless prior relevant experience is demonstrated
Candidate Requirements:
Previous grinding experience (CNC or precision/manual)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Long-term Prospects:
These are full-time roles with permanent opportunities available after a successful probation period.

- Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
- 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
- 24hr Oncall Support
- Flexible working patterns
- Induction Training
- Ongoing Assignment
- Possible permanent position following a successful trial period
