What skills and experience we're looking for
King James I Academy is seeking to appoint an Examinations Officer to commence work in September 2025. This is due to the retirement of the current postholder. The successful candidate will be a professional, highly organised individual who will take a lead role in ensuring that both internal and external examinations are appropriately administered in line with regulations. The role would suit someone with strong administration, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as being able to use their own initiative, be flexible, and work under pressure, and who wishes to develop these skills further and apply them in a school setting.

The successful candidate will be supported through a bespoke induction programme as well as being given opportunities and support for further career and professional development during their time at the Academy.

The Academy is committed to safeguarding children. All candidates will need to demonstrate a commitment to the welfare and safety of children and young people. Any offer of employment will be conditional upon receipt of two supportive references and the successful completion of pre-employment checks. An application to the Disclosure and Barring Service will be submitted when the successful candidate has accepted the position.
