Crynodeb
The Healthy Child Nurse will support the delivery of a creative, diverse and innovative approach to improving health outcomes for children and young people across the City. Working with children, young people and their families across the 0-19 agenda promoting health, preventing ill health, identifying health needs and recognising unmet health needs through use of evidence-based practice. Working under the leadership of the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse, the post holder will deliver direct work with children, young people and families and play a part in building community capacity to contribute to the Healthy Child Programme High Impact Areas and the local Joint Strategic Needs Assessment. The post holder will enable access to health services, as appropriate, and strengthen the quality of health education in community and school settings and provide targeted outreach. They will provide advice and guidance, signposting and supporting interventions to all children and young people as part of the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme with a progressive universalism approach, based firmly on proven Public Health evidence to target those at risk of poor outcomes.
