We’re looking to appoint a reliable and detail-focused HR & Payroll Administrator to join our well-established team.
You will be responsible for providing day-to-day HR and payroll administration across the Trust, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance at all times. Your role will support the employee lifecycle—from onboarding to payroll processing and leaver administration.
Based within our busy central team, you will already have administrative experience with excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail. You will be able to work calmly under pressure, demonstrate flexibility, initiative and a proactive approach and have successfully managed a varied workload. The ability to handle confidential data in a professional manner is paramount.
You will have strong IT skills including Excel and Microsoft teams, specific systems training will be provided.
The successful candidate will possess a positive can-do attitude with the ability to provide excellent customer service and who is keen to develop their HR & Payroll skillset. Experience of working within an education environment is useful but not essential.Duties will include but not be limited to:
Updating the payroll system of contractual staffing changes, monthly payroll amendments and staff absence.
Administration for the recruitment processes, including preparing, publishing job adverts and compliance checks
Maintaining accurate HR records and databases
First point of call for handling staff queries
Assisting with reporting, audits, and policy implementation
General administrative duties including preparation of employment letters and contracts.
Supporting and contributing towards general HR & Payroll department activities as required.
