Primary School has an in-house catering service providing nutritious, high
quality mid-day meals for children and staff compliant with the School Food
Standards.
We are seeking to
appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and well-qualified cook (ideally NVQ level 3 in catering) to assist the Kitchen
Manager in preparing and producing nutritious meals using high quality and
fresh produce, locally sourced wherever possible.
This is an exciting opportunity
for someone who is passionate about serving quality food to children and who
can bring their own brand of enthusiasm and creativity to our school kitchen.
Ideally, the
successful candidate will have experience of working within the education
catering sector, but above all, hold a passion for preparing food of the
highest quality, with customer satisfaction at the forefront.
A strong team
player, you will be able to work with and without direct supervision, possess
effective communication skills, be flexible and adaptable and keen to develop
further.

We are looking to
appoint a cook to start as soon as possible in September 2025
The hours of work are
term time only, 35 hours per week, 7am - 2pm, Monday to Friday including staff
training days. The post holder may occasionally be required to work additional
hours to accommodate special functions for which overtime will be pai
