Health & Safety advisor needed in Rotherham Paying £19.66 per hr ref 000A 25EB / 1

Full time hours on a temporary basis

We’re looking for an experienced Health and Safety professional to support the client in delivering key training and compliance objectives. This role is critical in addressing a backlog in training delivery across manual handling, risk assessment, incident investigation, and fire safety.

The successful candidate will lead a comprehensive needs analysis — from legal compliance and regulatory requirements to risk-based priorities — identifying where action is needed to close gaps and mitigate risks.

They will also support a blended approach to training delivery, balancing face-to-face sessions with computer-based training (CBT), some of which is outsourced. A key aspect of the role is improving competence across the organisation, particularly within the revenue function, by designing and delivering tailored training packages that meet the specific needs of individuals and the operational environment.

The post holder must be confident in analysing tasks, designing fit-for-purpose training solutions, and supporting future planning around site safety, business opportunity alignment, and minimum safety standards.

This is an office-based role for the initial few weeks (no flexibility on days), focusing on analysis and preparation before delivery begins. After the induction period, the position will move to a hybrid arrangement of three days per week on site.

If you are interested in the role, please email your CV to Beth@essentialemploy.co.uk quoting the reference number.
