Summary
As an Early Years Educator Apprentice at Crown Kindergartens, you will be working towards the Early Year Educator Level 3 apprenticeship over the duration of 18 months, alongside your daily roles and responsibilities.
Your daily roles and responsibilities will include;
- Ensuring that the physical, emotional and educational needs of the children are met following the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
- To follow instructions and assist the Key Person responsible for the smooth running of the group
- To follow our SEN policy and to include SEN and EAL when planning activities alongside the key person
- Communication of messages in a professional and confidential manner
- To follow cleaning/garden rotas as directed by Key Person/Manager
- To record child development records alongside Key Person
- Risk assessment - to inform the relevant key person on the condition of any equipment in need of repair and any areas of concern
- To maintain high professional standards of hygiene, ensuring that children are given appropriate guidance for washing, toileting, feeding and dressing
- To promote children's self-esteem through self-help skills
- To familiarise yourself with all nursery policies/procedures and abide by them
- To work alongside other staff members offering support when necessary
- To attend regular staff meetings (outside nursery hours if necessary)
- To attend regular training days
- To undertake any work which is necessary for the care of the children, and/or the smooth running of the nursery, maintaining high standards, and which can reasonably be expected to be within your capability
- soothe children to sleep.
- To contribute to the creation of a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children
- To care for children in your designated area, following instructions and policies to ensure consistent, high-quality care
- To be reliable and punctual, maintaining staffing ratios always
- To attend reasonable out-of-working-hours activities, including training, staff meetings, parent's evenings
