The University of Glasgow has been changing the world for more than 570 years, and today we are one of the world's top 100 universities. We are delighted to have recently been awarded Scottish University of the Year by the Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024.
Our people have always been at the forefront of innovation, and our past achievements inspire our current world changers.
We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Support Technician to provide technical and administrative support to assist in the delivery, particularly large animal (farm animal and equine) focused clinical skills and pathology training and assessments of undergraduate students, plus supporting academic staff within the School of Biodiversity, One Health & Veterinary Medicine.
The post holder will coordinate with key staff (e.g. clinical skills coordinator) the setup of pre-clinical and clinical practical classes and assessments (e.g. OSCEs, DOPS, spot exams), including the logistical requirements for staff and animal resources.
In addition, you will assist in the day-to-day organisation and preparation of scheduled clinical skills demonstrations and practical classes, primarily in the farm animal and horse facilities at different locations; and secondarily in the post-mortem facilities. You will also ensure that classes are set up correctly to deliver the variety of practical skill sessions required for the School's veterinary undergraduate programmes, providing in-depth technical support as required.
