Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant seeking a rewarding, long-term role in a vibrant Camden secondary school? We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student with Down’s Syndrome.

This is a full-time Learning Support Assistant role within a ‘Good’ graded secondary school known for its inclusive ethos and exceptional SEN provision. You’ll play a key role in a student's academic, emotional, and personal development, including assistance with personal care. This role would suit someone with previous SEN experience, particularly supporting students with complex needs.

What You'll Be Doing:
• Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a student with Down’s Syndrome

• Assisting with personal care and promoting independence and self-esteem
• Collaborating with SENCOs, teachers, and parents to implement tailored strategies
• Ensuring consistent emotional and physical support throughout the school day

Ideal Learning Support Assistant For this Camden School:
• Experience working with children or young people with Down’s Syndrome or complex needs
• Willingness and capability to assist with personal care sensitively and professionally
• Patient, nurturing, and positive in your approach to behaviour and learning support
