Crynodeb
Full time 35 hours per week, working a combination of 12 hrs care and 23hrs in the office, will need to work alternate weekends.
A night enhancement of £1.50 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday – Sunday (this does not apply to sleep-ins). A weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday.
With its beautiful sea views, Appley Cliff is home for 13 adults with physical disabilities. Our home is in the popular seaside resort of Shanklin on the Isle of Wight. We’re right next to the Rhylston Gardens with its mini-golf course, and are a short walk from pubs, cafes, a medical centre and a dentist.

As a Deputy Manager/Deputy Care Home Manager with Leonard Cheshire you will support the Manager in the day to day operation of the service. This includes deputising in their absence and responsibility for the direct supervision and line-management of staff. You will be accountable for monitoring, maintaining and providing the highest standards of clinical/personal support and service delivery, while promoting independence and choice of our residents.
You will:
• Have a level of professional development and registration (may include level 5 leadership in health & social care qualification).
• Have experience of providing direct personal and social care.
• Be experienced in managing a team of support staff.
• Have experience of working with customers who have physical and/or learning
• disabilities.
• Be able to work flexibly in accordance with rostered hours.
