Are you an experienced HLTA with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs?
This well-regarded SEN primary school in Redbridge is looking for a dedicated HLTA to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, inclusive education to pupils with a range of complex needs.
The Role
As HLTA, you will:
*Deliver small group and 1:1 intervention tailored to pupils with SEN
*Support and occasionally lead class-based learning under teacher's guidance
*Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities
*Work closely with the SENCo to support EHCP targets
*Promote independence, engagement, and positive behaviour throughout the school day
What We're Looking For
*HLTA qualification or equivalent Level 4+ teaching support certification
*Proven experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD)
*Strong understanding of inclusive practice and behaviour strategies
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*Confidence in leading learning and supporting curriculum delivery
Desirable Qualifications
*HLTA Status (recognised by a UK awarding body)
*Level 3/4 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning
*Team Teach or equivalent behaviour management training
*Safeguarding and First Aid certifications (or willingness to complete)
