Summary

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Caerphilly to assist with the appointment of a Teaching Assistant, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £109- £116 per day

Summary:

The Teaching Assistant (Level 3) will support the implementation of agreed work programmes for individuals or groups both in and out of the classroom, working under the direction of the SENCO and teaching/senior staff. The role includes delivering specialised support, encouraging independence, promoting inclusion, and supporting learning activities across various curriculum areas, including those with additional learning needs.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and evaluate pupil responses to learning.
Provide accurate feedback and maintain records of pupil progress.
Support national learning strategies (e.g., literacy and numeracy).
Assist in behaviour management in line with school policy.
Mark work and record pupil achievement.
Implement learning activities and adjust to pupils' needs.
Support national learning strategies (e.g., literacy and numeracy).
Encourage ICT use and develop pupils skills and independence.
Qualifications:

NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification/experience.
GCSE English and Maths (AC) or equivalent.
Training in relevant strategies (e.g., literacy support, ICT).
Essentials:

Full knowledge of national/foundation curriculum.
Experience working with children and SEN pupils.
Ability to use ICT effectively.
Welsh speaker or BSL signer.
