Reporting to: Retail Sales Manager

Location: Ashford, Kent - Due to the location of our office, which is not accessible via public transport, own transport and licence is essential.

37.5/40 hours per week, within Trading hours. Opening times between 7.30am to 5:30pm Monday -Friday.

Commission pay based on team achieving sales targets

Our clients range from homeowners buying fencing for their gardens to industry and high security establishments, protecting facilities and equipment. We are currently seeking a hardworking professional to join and support our sales team based in Ashford, Kent.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a person to perform a store-based role with face-to-face customer service & sales from our on-site collection store. Prioritising administration and communication tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient collection process.

Working as part of a close-knit, friendly team, the role requires a general 'all-rounder' with good attention to detail, flexibility and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team whilst managing individual daily work load.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills together with persistence and resilience that are key success drivers. An ability to think quickly and clearly will be required and showing initiative and passion is key.

A good all-round education and strong computer skills are crucial to carrying out duties efficiently and effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work closely with other internal departments to achieve an optimal experience for our customers
Opening & Closing of the collection store (Jakstore)
Cash handling, processing card payments and refunds.
Organising collection paperwork to ensure goods are ready for collection on time.
Process face to face, online & telephone quotations & sales for supply only enquiries, as well as supply & install projects.
Communicate customer needs to other departments in a timely manner.
Proactively contribute to the completion of the team's workload and sales targets.
Perform other duties as reasonably requested by your manager, from time to time.


Skills Required:

Strong interpersonal skills
Previous Customer Service experience beneficial
MS Office applications (i.e; Outlook, Word & Excel)
Be able to work as part of a team, or on your own on various projects.
Willing to learn and have a positive attitude.
