Derby College Group (DCG) are looking for a highly motivated Trainer/Assessor to join our dynamic and progressive Animal Care unit at Broomfield Hall. You’ll deliver high quality, inspirational teaching which encourages learners to reach their full potential, promoting progression on to higher level courses or preparing them for careers working with animals. The Opportunity

As a Trainer/Assessor, you will be an integral part of the Animal Care Team, responsible for the overall care and health maintenance of the animals, as well as their accommodation. Your role will include delivering practical sessions to students from Entry 3 to Level 3, teaching and assessing the practical aspects of their curriculum. Additionally, you will participate in open days, interviews, and other curriculum-related activities.

For a full explanation of the roles and responsibilities, please see the job description.

About You

You should be well-organised, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and be committed to effective teamwork. Your primary focus will be ensuring the safety and welfare of the animals and overseeing students working on the unit, always adhering to health and safety procedures.
