Crynodeb
To ensure appropriate and effective use of antimicrobials with the Trust and reduce antimicrobial resistance. This will be achieved through the use of effective, evidence based and economic antimicrobials prescribing policies. The role will include daily attendance at ward rounds with the microbiology consultants and the outcomes of these ward rounds will be audited. To ensure that antimicrobials are used safely and effectively within the Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) service. To undertake the CQUIN audits for antimicrobials and antifungals in conjunction with the microbiology consultants.
