We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to lead high-quality social care services for children, young people and families.

Position: Operations Manager

Location: Reading with travel to provisions

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

About the Role

As Operations Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of children's residential care, supported accommodation and family services. Working closely with the CEO, you'll lead and support a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care that meets regulatory standards and delivers meaningful outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading service development and driving continuous improvement.

- Managing and supporting staff recruitment, rotas, supervision, and performance.

- Overseeing service delivery to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with Ofsted, Children's Homes Regulations and Supported Accommodation Regulations.

- Building and maintaining effective partnerships with local authorities and external stakeholders.

- Leading risk management processes and incident response.

- Monitoring service outcomes and contributing to strategic planning through reports and evaluations.

About You

- You will be an experienced leader in children's social care with a deep understanding of relevant UK regulations and safeguarding requirements.

- Skilled in managing teams and supporting professional development in a fast-paced, responsive environment.

- A strong communicator, capable of working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

- Strategic and analytical, with a passion for service improvement and accountability.

- Committed to equality, inclusion and the rights of young people.

Essential:You must either be a registered Ofsted inspector or eligible for Ofsted and CQC registration.

You will also need to meet enhanced DBS requirements, hold a full UK driving licence, and have the right to work in the UK.
