This is an exceptional and exciting opportunity for an experienced Specialist Psychotherapist or Clinical/Counselling Psychologist who would be interested in gaining additional invaluable skills and experience working across mental health services in both accredited Therapeutic Community and Slough Adult Mental Health Psychological Therapies Team. As the successful postholder, you will be working within the Community Mental Health Team in Slough and wider Berkshire. You will be supervising and managing staff, as well as offering your expertise to a wider multidisciplinary community mental health team.

This post also offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the co-production pathway in Slough and The Royal College of Psychiatrists accredited Therapeutic Community.

• You will work as a valued member of the Slough Mental Health Team, as well as the trust Psychological Therapies wider team, and you will provide a highly specialist psychological service to users presenting with severe/complex mental health difficulties requiring multiple interventions, complex/intensive risk management plans and high levels of multiagency work.
• You will initiate the safe delivery, supervise, and contribute to the multidisciplinary teams within the locality and wider Trust services.
• You will contribute to the delivery of the Therapeutic Community and all related activities that ensure its continuous accreditation.
• You will be reliable and knowledgeable, and you will have great IT skills and be familiar with various systems and software packages.
• You will need access to your own car and be able to travel independently across Berkshire.

The 3/4 “must haves” for you to be considered for this role:

• Significant experience working as a qualified Psychotherapist with professional accreditation and registration with UKCP as a psychotherapist or with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC).
Or
• Significant experience working as a qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist with professional accreditation and registration with British Psychological Society (BPS) or with the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• Significant experience of facilitating and delivering therapeutic groups within the NHS setting and / or Therapeutic Communities.
• An enhanced DBS check.
