Are you looking for a role that gets you out from behind the desk? Where you can truly own a client portfolio, build meaningful relationships, and make an impact in a highly specialist sector?
We’re recruiting for a well-established, highly respected insurance broker that operates in a niche market supporting insolvency practitioners and probate solicitors. This is a rare opportunity to step into a field-based role covering the South of England, with a healthy, long-standing portfolio and plenty of room to grow.
The successful candidate will inherit a portfolio exceeding £1m GWP, alongside a steady stream of existing leads, previous clients, and untapped opportunities. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing and developing an existing book of commercial clients, with the opportunity to expand it further. Your day-to-day work will involve conducting site visits, providing technical insurance advice, and placing a range of covers including Professional Indemnity, property, and fleet all under a long-standing, exclusive binder arrangement. You’ll represent the business at industry events, client meetings and site visits across a wide southern territory, spending around three days per week in the field. Success in this role will come from building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships within a specialist client base.
To be considered, you’ll need a background in commercial insurance either from a broking or underwriting environment and a strong, confident approach to client engagement. You’ll enjoy variety, value autonomy, and be naturally proactive in managing your workload. This is a role that suits someone personable, with excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in building trusted relationships. A full UK driving licence is essential, and you must be comfortable travelling across the South of England.
In return, you’ll benefit from a warm, well-established portfolio and a remote-first working model, typically with three days on the road and two days working from home or attending the office. Office visits are generally monthly. You’ll be joining a stable, supportive team with deep expertise in this specialist area and will receive full training on insolvency-related risks and procedures.
This is a genuinely unique opportunity to step into a varied, people-focused role within a niche sector of the commercial insurance market.
