Do you have NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Plumbing?
Are you an experienced Plumber?
Do you have a current UK Driving Licence?
Work with York Limited are looking to recruit a qualified Plumber for a local authority client based in York. This is for an immediate start and for a minimum of 6 months, with potential to go from temporary to permanent.
The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week, working within a pre-allocated appointment system.
The rate of pay is up to £25.00 per hour, dependent upon experience. You will need to have your own transport and all work will be within the York District.
You'll have a proven track record of working in a customer focused environment, carrying out building repairs, maintenance and renewals. The work will range from emergency and routine reactive repairs, on numerous sites daily, to single site programmed repairs and refurbishment work. The work will involve a mix of residential/domestic homes and flats.
The ideal applicant will be;
an experienced and well skilled plumber, ideally with a residential and/or commercial background.
to be able to work as part of a team and at times to carry out necessary work without supervision.
confident in liaising with the wider team, following instruction and complete works in a timely manner.
For this role you will need to have;
a current UK driving licence
the appropriate trade qualifications (NVQ / City and Guilds or equivalent)
good organisational skills
the ability to prioritise a busy and reactive work load.
