Mechanical Small Works Manager
Location: Leicester

The Mechanical Small Works Manager is responsible for the management and delivery of multiple small-value mechanical projects. These works typically range between £5k and £250k and include planned refurbishments, maintenance upgrades, reactive works, and minor installations.
This role involves full project lifecycle responsibility—from initial quotation and client liaison through to delivery, completion, and handover—ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and profitably.
Manage and deliver mechanical small works projects (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, pipework, refurbishments, etc.) from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Prepare scopes, quotations, schedules, and method statements.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure all works comply with health & safety and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical support and resolve any site issues.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience in mechanical contracting, ideally in a similar small works/project manager role.
• Strong technical knowledge across HVAC, plumbing, and general building services.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Commercial awareness and ability to quote works confidently.
• SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, or relevant H&S qualifications preferred.
• Mechanical qualifications (NVQ Plumbing and Heating, Gas Safe)
