What skills and experience we're looking for
To start September 2025
This role is primarily for the delivery of interventions acorss all year groups within the school.
At Oakwood Academy we understand the enormous responsibility of preparing our pupils for their future lives. Our hope is that we can help children to become responsible citizens who will make a positive contribution to our ever changing society. We are committed to lifelong learning and work very hard to encourage children to engage with and enjoy learning and new experiences. We do this alongside emphasising the need for children to be sensitive, caring, supportive and understanding of each other’s needs. We invite applications from excellent practitioners with primary or secondary experience. The successful candidates will:
• Be excellent practitioners with the commitment and motivation to inspire pupils’ learning and development
• Be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
• Have specific experience in working with pupils with SEND
• Possess the emotional and physical resilience necessary when working with young people with a range of complex needs
• Have the ability to foster good relationships with other staff, pupils, parents and the wider community
• Will have had experience of planning, delivering and assessing phonics
