What skills and experience we're looking for

Saltash Community School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed candidate who has maintenance skills and experience. You will be supporting the maintenance, refurbishment and caretaking of our school.

The role requires someone with a flexible approach and the ability to carry out basic maintenance and caretaking duties for our school. You will be responsible for ensuring that daily tasks relating to the operation, maintenance and cleanliness of the buildings, grounds and equipment are managed effectively. You will be working alongside our existing school site team. The ability to work within a team and to work on your own initiative as required are important.

This is a support staff role with SMART Trust, working all year including some working time within the school holidays. It comes with the benefits of, annual leave, local government pension, sick pay scheme, training and development, and a welcoming and supportive working environment.

We are looking for candidates with:

• good building/maintenance experience
• excellent interpersonal/communication skills
• a desire to complete all jobs to the highest of standards
