Title: Refuse Loader / Refuse Collector The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Refuse Loader for our client based in Redhill to start immediately. This will be a temporary to permanent position for the right person.
The role:
You will be working alongside a refuse collection driver, assisting in the collection of household waste.
Hours:
Monday to Friday - EARLY FINISHES! You will start at 6.00am and MUST be on time. Your finish time will vary depending on how quickly your route is completed. The quicker you complete your run, the sooner you can return to site and finish for the day. Regardless of your finish time, you will be paid up to 3:00pm. If you finish after 3:00pm, you will receive overtime pay at time and a half, which is £18.31 per hour. Pay: £12.21 per hour - Monday to Friday Overtime after 8 hours paid at £18.31 per hour Responsibilities of a Refuse Loader: Going out as part of a team to collect waste and recycling. Loading bins, bags, and other waste containers into the refuse collection vehicle. Ensuring waste is safely and correctly loaded using the trucks lifting and compacting equipment. Assisting the driver with navigation and helping to direct the vehicle when reversing. Maintaining a high standard of customer service if/when interacting with the public. - Hourly rate as above, or the appropriate National Minimum Wage (age dependent)
- Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
- 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
- 24hr Oncall Support
- Ongoing Assignment
- Possible permanent position following a successful trial period
- Training Provided
