Job Title: 1:1 SEN Primary Teaching Assistant
Locations: Crawley, Horley
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Do you bring patience, empathy, and dedication to every learning environment?

Randstad Education is working in partnership with local primary schools, where Teaching Assistants now play a vital 1:1 role supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN). This position offers a meaningful opportunity to positively impact the academic, emotional, and social development of individual children.

Your Role Will Involve:

Providing tailored 1:1 support to children with a variety of needs, including:

  • Speech and language difficulties

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • ADHD

  • Behavioural challenges

Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO, you'll adapt resources, track progress, and help students access learning in a way that suits them best.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children (schools, nurseries, or care settings)

  • A calm and nurturing approach

  • Confidence in managing behaviour and supporting SEN pupils

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Flexibility and a positive attitude to learning on the job

Requirements:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English - Grade C/4 or above

  • Enhanced Child DBS (or willingness to apply)

  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)

  • SEN experience is highly desirable
