Radiographer WHO ARE WE? We are Circle Health Group. Clinical Imaging Services: Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., general X-rays, theatre, fluoroscopy, mobiles) following referral and imaging protocols. Ensure high-quality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis, minimising the need for repeat exposures. Adapt techniques to meet the needs of individual patients, including paediatrics, bariatrics, and patients with limited mobility. Patient Care and Safety: Provide a safe, dignified, and person-centred service, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable, and reassured throughout their examination. Accurately identify patients using approved safety checks and ensure consent is gained before procedures. Monitor patients conditions during procedures and respond appropriately to any signs of deterioration. Radiation Protection and Legal Compliance: Comply with IR(ME)R regulations, local rules, and departmental safety protocols to ensure safe radiation practices. Act as a Radiation Operator under IR(ME)R, following justification, optimisation, and limitation principles. Report any clinical, technical, or safety issues in line with local incident reporting procedures. Equipment and Technical Responsibilities: Ensure equipment is checked, maintained, and used safely and effectively, reporting faults promptly. Assist in the implementation and use of new imaging technologies, techniques, and digital systems (e.g., PACS, RIS). Monitor image quality and collaborate with radiologists to ensure diagnostic adequacy. Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, consultants, nurses, porters, and admin teams to coordinate care efficiently and maintain smooth patient pathways. Support theatre teams with intraoperative imaging and assist with emergency and inpatient imaging requests. Continuous Improvement and Development: Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills through CPD, training sessions, and reflective practice. Participate in departmental audits, service reviews, and quality improvement initiatives. Support the training and supervision of student radiographers and newly qualified staff WHAT DO YOU HAVE? Essential: BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification. HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer. Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment. Good understanding of IR(ME)R, health & safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Desirable: Postgraduate experience or additional training in a specialist area (e.g., CT, MRI, theatre imaging, mammography). Experience working in a fast-paced hospital environment, either NHS or private sector. Familiarity with digital imaging systems, PACS, and RIS. Basic life support (BLS) certification.
