Senior Production Team Leader, Robroyston, £31,000 to £35,000 dependant on experience
We are recruiting for a Production Team Leader to work at our clients' site in Robroyston, Glasgow.
What you'll be doing:
As a Production Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in ensuring efficient production processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Actively manage and drive Health & Safety performance within the team
- Leading the team to deliver the daily, weekly and monthly production plans and the department KPI's
- Working closely with the planning team to ensure operational targets and objectives achieved
- Ensuring quality of product maintained to both internal and external standards
- Identify opportunities for improvement within production areas and implement corrective actions where possible
- Attending production and operational meetings whilst reporting directly to the Operations Director
- Investigating non conformance issues - escalation as appropriate
- Identifying training needs and implement ongoing training and development to ensure operators maintain and exceed required standards
- Driving team engagement and motivating staff to deliver on targets, goals and expectations
- Effectively manage team performance to ensure operators are maximising their capability within their role
- Daily management of team ensuring compliance with company procedures including:
- Following SOP's and work instructions in line with GMP standards
- Use of machinery, equipment and tools
- Product quality and compliance
- Lean manufacturing methodologies
- Attendance, timekeeping, breaks, holiday and performance procedures

- Ability to develop and engage a high performing team
- Previous experience of managing / leading a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Self-motivated with a genuine drive for achieving production targets and operational excellence
- Experience of championing continuous improvement methodologies within a manufacturing setting
- A solid work history
