Cover Supervisor

Permanent position, 1st September 2025
37 hours per week, term time only plus TEDs
Providing an equitable educational experience for all students is fundamental at Severn Academies Educational Trust schools. Ensuring all students can access education to meet their individual needs is, therefore, a priority.
The Stourport High School and VIth College and Baxter College each wish to appoint a reliable individual with a strong rapport with young people to join their respective schools as a Cover Supervisor.
The Cover Supervisor will take a positive and proactive approach to ensure the smooth and efficient deployment of cover arrangements for staff, ensuring lessons have cover when required. You'll also be required to supervise the learning of whole classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher as they undertake the work set, to ensure ongoing progress to learning. You'll need to be flexible in your approach to enable strategies to be tailored to the individual needs of students.
The successful candidate will share our values, be passionate, and be able to drive students forward on their educational journey. Understanding their individual needs and collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team to put appropriate plans in place with the individual at the heart of everything we do. The postholder will have the ability to demonstrate their commitment to the role and how they can support the trust in fostering collaboration, ensuring the continual improvement of the quality of students' learning is at the top of the business agenda.
