Learning Support Assistant – Fixed Term
17.5 hours per week (12 – 3.30)
Start Date: 02/09/2025Contract: Fixed Term until 31/08/2026Salary: BG6 Term time only (Salary £25,183 pro rata, £10,194 actual)
An opportunity has arisen to work at our successful, happy, caring and inclusive school. We are looking for a practitioner who is passionate and committed to inclusion and high standards of achievement for all learners particularly those with SEND. The role is to provide enhanced ratios in the classrooms, provide small group intervention and support high needs children in Year 1. The successful applicant will be able to support children with SEND, inspire, challenge and stimulate learning, whilst being hard-working, cheerful and patient. The role involves working with individual SEND children as well as running planned, small group interventions.
Experience of working within EY/KS1 and experience/ability to deliver Reading, Phonics, Writing or Maths intervention programmes would be advantageous. Understanding of attachment needs, or supporting those with challenging behaviour would also be desirable.
Support will be given to the successful candidate, from within the school itself and through relevant training as appropriate.
You will be:
• Fully committed to inclusion
• Experienced in working with children ideally across the Primary setting
• Enthusiastic, reliable and able to work effectively in a team
