The Roles
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team and develop their skills within the construction industry. This Apprenticeship is ideal for applicants with a keen interest in construction, have good hand skills with an eye for quality, and a desire to learn. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in the trade.
Key Responsibilities – Apprentice Plasterer
• Assist qualified plasterers with the preparation and application of plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
• Prepare work areas by cleaning surfaces, removing old plaster, and applying bonding agents.
• Mix plaster and other materials to the correct consistency using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Learn and apply various plastering techniques including solid plastering, skimming, dry lining, and rendering.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Follow all health and safety procedures on site, wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
• Measure and cut plasterboard to required dimensions for dry lining tasks.
• Assist with setting up and dismantling scaffolding or access platforms where required.
• Accurately follow instructions from supervisors and mentor plasterers to develop skills and knowledge.
• Attend and participate in training sessions as part of the apprenticeship programme
• Demonstrate a commitment to learning and applying new plastering techniques and industry standards.
What We’re Looking For…
Essential:
• Genuine interest in plastering and a long-term commitment to a career in the construction industry.
• Willingness and ability to attend college and complete all apprenticeship requirements.
• Practical mindset with good problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working at height.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Basic communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Desirable:
• 2 GCSEs (grade 4/C or above or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Previous experience of hands-on work, e.g. labouring, DIY, or school-based construction projects.
• Awareness of basic health and safety principles.
• Access to transport or willingness to travel to various construction sites and training locations.
• A full UK driving licence or willingness to work toward obtaining one.

Training and Development:
Apprentice Plasterer – Level 2 in Plastering - 2 year course
The successful applicant will be supported through a recognised apprenticeship standard in Plastering. Training will include practical, on-site experience and day-release attendance at a college or training provider. Ongoing supervision and mentorship will be provided by experienced tradespeople. Please note, should plastering not be available on a given day, you may be required to support other trades as part of your work.
