Location Warminster
Hours 36 hours per week Wednesday to Saturday. Plus 1 overnight on a Friday night (Possible Job Share)
Payrate £15 per hour plus £41.50 per week for the overnight
Holiday 5.6 weeks per year including bank holidays (pro rata for part time)
Driving Licence Yes
DBS Check Yes will be funded by the employer

A bit about me:
I am a fun-loving, fully mobile 23 year old young woman and I enjoy going out and about in my community. I enjoy travelling locally in a car or bus or train. I enjoy going to the cinema, theatre, musicals and swimming. I love to be active during the day and I also enjoy some “chill out” time. I enjoy visiting places for a walk and going to cafes for hot chocolate. I need support when out and about to keep me safe as I have a learning disability. I like being at home too. At home I listen to music and sometimes have a dance, I watch TV, do jigsaws, arts and crafts and some cooking. I live at home with my Mum, Dad, sister and my pet dog. I have good communication skills but sometimes need help in this area. I am mostly happy and cheerful, but I sometimes need help to remain calm and sensible.

About the role:
I need help with daily living tasks. I need some support to get washed and dressed. I need support to prepare meals. I need support with household tasks such as cooking and putting a wash on. I need support to go out and about in the community. I may need support attending appointments. I need someone who can support me to stay safe at home and when out and about. I need support during the day Wednesday to Saturday and for 1 overnight per week on Friday. The overnight will mainly be at the Carer’s home, but occasionally in my own home. I require a calming bed-time routine such as stories or gentle music.


The kind of person I am looking for:
I need a female personal assistant due to the role involving personal care. For this reason it is exempt under the general occupation requirement section of the Equality Act 2010.

I am looking for a caring, understanding, patient person who likes to go out and about in the community and will help me to enjoy my day. The role would suit someone who likes having a bit of fun and getting out and about. I want someone who can help me with daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, help with meals and some light housework. I would like someone to help who enjoys music, going out and having fun whilst being caring and supportive. Ideally you will have a spare room for me so that I can stay at your house for 1 overnight per week. There may be opportunities to go on holidays or short breaks with me too. I would prefer a car owner please.
