JOB DESCRIPTION
Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am an 87-year-old retired production and mechanical engineer living in the area of Pontyclun. I’ve experienced two strokes, which have affected my mobility and dexterity, but I have not suffered any paralysis. I use a Zimmer to mobilise around the house. I also lost vision in my left eye, which makes reading difficult. However, I enjoy keeping my mind sharp by solving crossword puzzles, Sudoku, brain teasers, and playing chess and Uno.
I used to be a beekeeper, which I would like to continue if possible. To unwind, I enjoy watching TV, particularly shows like NCIS, history programs, and World War-related documentaries.
I have a dry sense of humour and I am known for being personable, kind, warm, and authentic. I get along with most people and appreciate friendly interactions. I do have a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and some chest muscle weakness, which can affect my energy levels and mobility, but I remain active where I can. One of my favourite pass times is enjoying a good cup of tea.
