Crynodeb
Provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care in line with the core responsibilities of a GP within primary care. Deliver services aligned with the GMS contract, as well as Direct and Local Enhanced Services. Exercise professional autonomy in managing patients, whether self-referred or referred by other healthcare professionals. Manage long-term conditions effectively, in accordance with current clinical guidelines. Prescribe medications in line with the practice formulary, using generic options where clinically appropriate. Complete administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner, including referrals, repeat prescriptions, and patient correspondence. Participate in the duty doctor rota Maintain accurate, comprehensive clinical records in accordance with best practice and regulatory guidance. Work collaboratively with colleagues, contributing equally to the shared workload of the practice. Take delegated responsibility for specific clinical areas or Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) domains. Adhere to clinical best practice, including guidance from NICE and local audits. Support continuous improvement and contribute to practice-wide quality initiatives. Engage fully with the appraisal and revalidation processes, ensuring compliance with GMC requirements. Take an active role in the education and support of medical students and trainees from a range of clinical backgrounds. Work with the partnership team to support strategic objectives, contributing ideas to improve efficiency, enhance services, and ensure financial sustainability.
