Crynodeb
To conduct a wide range of CT scans upon a range of patient types, both as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multi-professional team, in a manner that meets professional, departmental and legal standards and requirements. Participate in the out of hours on call rota. Radiographers practice will involve lone working in particular specialties and at particular times. Patient presentation will include the unconscious, uncooperative, incapacitated, incompetent, disorientated and those with physical and mental disabilities. A wide variety of patients will be encountered and will include those exhibiting anti-social behaviour including both un-convicted and legally convicted e.g. prisoners. Other influencing factors include the skills needed to provide patients or relatives with empathy and emotional support for the bereaved, terminally ill, injured, traumatised or those altered by substance use/abuse.
