Fawkes & Reece are proud to be partnered with a Tier 1Main Contractor seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their growing team in Wakefield.
The role of a Senior Estimator
Typically my clients tender list contains a mixture of Healthcare, Apartments, Offices and Industrial schemes which range in value from £2M to £100m+, but are typically £15M to £50M NEC / JCT forms of contract. My client uses Conquest, but are open to candidates who use differnet software and training can be provided.
Responsibilities of a Senior Estimator
- Produce analytical cost estimates that reflect the programme, methodology and risk profile developed by the bid team on large scale and complex projects
- Identify the need for, and call for support that may be required to produce estimates
- A thorough understanding of the UK construction market and be aware of the main forms of Contract used and the significance of these contracts in terms of the risks that need to be addressed in the tender.

Requirements for a Senior Estimator
- 8 - 10 years main contractor experience.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Relevant construction related degree or qualification
- Proficiency in relevant industry software packages
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
