About PAT-iT Ltd
PAT-iT Ltd. is a dynamic and award-winning fire safety company working with a wide range of clients — from local councils and power stations to B&Bs, fire stations, offices, and community halls. No two days are the same here, and we’re proud to deliver trusted, high-quality services across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, and beyond.
The Role: Test Engineer
We are looking for a committed and practical Test Engineer to join our growing team.
The role covers a variety of electrical safety and compliance tasks, including:
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
Emergency Lighting Inspections
Fire Extinguisher Servicing
Fire Alarm Inspections
Applicants must already be experienced in at least one of the above disciplines.
Training will be provided to cover the remaining areas.
This is a hands-on role involving physical movement and manual tasks. A good level of dexterity and mobility is essential, including working in tight spaces (e.g. under desks) and occasionally moving appliances like washing machines or heavy fire extinguishers.
Who We're Looking For:
Someone practical, safety-conscious, and customer-focused. You’ll need to be able to work alone on smaller jobs and as part of a team for larger contracts.
Essential Requirements:
Experience in at least one of the key service areas listed above
Full UK driving licence (clean)
Own vehicle (a company van may be considered after 6 months)
Physical dexterity for manual tasks and active work
Strong communication and customer service skills
High attention to detail and commitment to compliance
Personal Qualities:
Punctual and reliable
Clear communicator
Friendly and professional attitude
Diligent and thorough
Able to follow procedures and record findings accurately
What We Offer:
Full training and support to broaden your skills
A variety of working environments across the region
Mileage allowance
Structured development
Potential for company vehicle after probation period
A supportive and established team
