Initially, role will simply be to provide a ‘sitting service’ whereby you are in the house whilst I am out so that she is not left on her own. The priority in this instance will be to ensure she is monitored, safe and able to engage when she can.
The role will evolve to helping to promote positive life-skills – i.e., assisting in making food, keeping room clean and tidy, gaining independence in and out of the home.
Supporting and promoting daily personal hygiene routine and importance of looking after ourselves
Promote positive engagement within the home with family members
Support accessing social and leisure activities ie. on family days out, or 1-2-1 when the relationship is strong enough.
