Make our impact count — join Severn Wye as our Quality Assurance & Environmental Impact Manager
Part-time (3 days/week) · Fixed term to March 2026 · £29,894.24 FTE · Based in Gloucester Quays and home

At Severn Wye, we believe in a future where everyone has access to affordable energy and we live in balance with the climate. As our Quality Assurance and Environmental Impact Manager, you’ll play a central role in making sure that future becomes reality.

This is a cross-cutting role that ensures our services are consistently high-quality and that our environmental impact is monitored and minimised. You’ll support teams across the organisation, whether they’re helping people struggling to heat their homes, supporting retrofit projects, or working with businesses to cut carbon.

This is a fixed-term, part-time opportunity (3 days per week) until March 2026, working hybrid from our Gloucester Quays office.

If you enjoy working across teams, digging into the detail, and being the go-to person for quality and environmental guidance, we’d love to hear from you. Even if you don’t tick every box below, please apply—we are a training organisation and invest in our staff.

What you’ll be doing
Lead and maintain our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, working with consultants to coordinate audits and compliance

Support teams in improving their service delivery through quality assurance feedback

Ensure our quality and environmental procedures are standardised and aligned across teams

Provide advice on compliance with environmental standards and legal requirements

Maintain our document control processes and registers

Support the creation of guidelines, procedures, and internal documentation

Help deliver Severn Wye’s sustainability plan and embed environmental best practice

Lead and coordinate internal training on ISO systems and processes

Follow all Severn Wye policies and procedures

What we’re looking for
You’ll thrive in this role if you:

Have excellent attention to detail and are motivated by getting things right

Enjoy working across teams, managing information, and hitting deadlines

Can work independently and evolve the role over time as Severn Wye grows

Have experience supporting quality assurance systems or processes (ideally ISO 9001/14001)

Understand (or are keen to learn about) energy efficiency, retrofit or affordable warmth

Have great communication skills and a collaborative approach

Desirable experience includes:

Knowledge of environmental standards and UK legal requirements

Strong problem-solving and organisational skills

Confident IT skills including Microsoft Office and cloud-based systems

If you’re unsure whether you meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply. For an informal conversation, contact annah@severnwye.org.uk.
