This role will provide expert advice on biological safety and compliance across regulated activities (e.g. genetically modified organisms, pathogens, human tissue, and animal by-products), ensuring legal and regulatory requirements are met.

Responsibilities will include monitoring safety in labs and operations, interpreting regulatory advice, and leading biological safety audits and health & safety inspections. They will be expected to plan, conduct and report on internal Quality Management Systems relevant to the different institutes. The post holder will draft policies, risk assessments, and training, support Biological Safety Officers, and promote a safe working culture.
