The Trauma and Orthopaedics Department at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust provides comprehensive care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. Services encompass the treatment of injuries to bones and joints, including hips, knees, feet, ankles, shoulders, elbows, and hands. The department also manages soft tissue injuries involving ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves.Clinical Services Trauma Care: The department offers 24/7 trauma services across its sites, managing complex upper and lower limb injuries.Elective Orthopaedic Surgery: A broad range of elective procedures is performed, including joint replacements and reconstructive surgeries.Subspecialties: The department supports various subspecialties, such as foot and ankle surgery, ensuring comprehensive patient care.Collaborative Initiatives As part of the Black Country Alliance, the Trust collaborates with Russell's Hall Hospital in Dudley and Manor Hospital in Walsall to develop integrated regional services.
