An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical support worker to join us on the Gynaecology Outpatients Department with flexible hours over 7 days.

Outpatients won team of the month in July 2021 for their contribution to the welfare of the hospital and more recently team of the year! As a team we are proud we have received a GOLD award accreditation status for the last 2 inspections and we work hard to maintain this award.

To assist in the provision of the service and contribute to the effective running of the outpatient department, ensuring they contribute towards a quality patient experience.
To assist doctors and qualified nursing staff with the provision of high-quality evidence based and individualised care of patients being cared for within the gynaecology division.
To provide care and support to relatives and carers who are attending the outpatient department.
The applicant is expected to be an effective member of the team and contribute to the best possible use of resources.

To undertake and be responsible for routine tasks under the supervision of the qualified nurse preparation of notes and equipment on the clinics.
Support and provide personal care in assisting patients needs such as personal hygiene, catheter care and escorting to various Trust departments when required.
Establish and notify any dietary requirement to the relevant qualified nurse and liaising with the catering team when required.
Assisting in the movement of patients as and when required using appropriate equipment when and where necessary.
Accurately perform and record generic patient records e.g. baseline observations including blood pressure temperature, respirations, weight, height, urinalysis, pregnancy testing.
Maintain comfort round charts and escalate as required.
