What will you be responsible for?

The Business Technologist bridges the gap between technology and business operations, ensuring digital solutions effectively support the university’s strategic and operational objectives. This role involves close collaboration with academic and professional services teams to identify technological opportunities, optimize business processes, and enhance digital capabilities. The aim is to leverage technology to improve efficiency, service delivery, and user experience.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for an accomplished Business Technologist to bridge the gap between technology and the university's operational requirements, ultimately ensuring an outstanding student experience.

You'll possess an undergraduate degree and/or demonstrable experience in business technology, digital transformation, or service management, ideally within a higher education setting. A strong grasp of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) enterprise systems, digital tools, and process automation is essential, alongside proven expertise in business process analysis, workflow optimization, and service enhancement methodologies.

The ideal candidate will excel in stakeholder engagement, adeptly translating complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences. You'll be proficient in project and change management, comfortable leading smaller-scale digital transformation efforts within a wider project team to ensure the organization successfully adopts new technologies. We value a data-driven approach to assess system performance and inform strategic improvements, combined with a proactive commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in an evolving technological landscape. Familiarity with data governance, GDPR, and compliance regulations is also crucial.
