The role:
Supporting children and young adults with special educational needs on their journeys to school or college. You’ll assist with boarding, safety, and wellbeing, including administering emergency medication and supporting those with challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure passenger safety and comfort
Administer emergency meds (e.g., EpiPen, Buccal Midazolam)
Support with physical assistance and equipment (e.g., wheelchairs)
Liaise with parents, schools, and the transport team
Deal with exposure to bodily fluids (Hep B vaccine offered)
What the client is looking for:
Experience in care/support roles
Flexible and reliable
First Aid trained or willing to train
Willing to work across Kirklees on various routes
Enhanced DBS required
