Crynodeb
The post holder will assist in the provision of a safe and efficient patient focused Pharmacy Service. The post holder will be working in patient facing areas as part of the Pharmacy dispensary and clinical teams including the pharmacy stores and distribution sections of the Pharmacy on a rotational basis. The post holder will commence employment as a Trainee Pharmacy Technician (student / apprentice). They will be required to successfully meet set competencies designed to develop the qualities, skills and knowledge expected to register as a Pharmacy Technician. Length of competency training will be dependent on what qualification / experience the staff member has achieved already but the following would be expected to be met within 24 months at the latest: Successful completion of the Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician (PTPT) course. Accreditation as a Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) and Medicines Management (AIMM) qualification / Medicines Optimisation Program (MOP).
