The Role:

As Quantity Surveyor, you will:

  • Provide quantity surveying support across a range of civil engineering projects, including but not limited to: road and highway construction, drainage and flood mitigation schemes, utilities infrastructure projects, groundworks and earthworks, site development and remediation.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, tender documents, and contract negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Monitor project costs, track variations, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare and manage payment schedules and claims.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant contractual obligations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site managers to ensure effective cost control and project delivery.

What We're Looking For:

  • A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying (e.g., BSc in Quantity Surveying, HND in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent).
  • Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering industry, ideally with exposure to a range of project types.
  • A strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and specifications relevant to civil engineering projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant cost estimating software, measurement standards, and contract documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
