The Role:
As Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Provide quantity surveying support across a range of civil engineering projects, including but not limited to: road and highway construction, drainage and flood mitigation schemes, utilities infrastructure projects, groundworks and earthworks, site development and remediation.
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, tender documents, and contract negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project costs, track variations, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and manage payment schedules and claims.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant contractual obligations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site managers to ensure effective cost control and project delivery.
What We're Looking For:
- A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying (e.g., BSc in Quantity Surveying, HND in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent).
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering industry, ideally with exposure to a range of project types.
- A strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and specifications relevant to civil engineering projects.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant cost estimating software, measurement standards, and contract documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
