Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator for our client based in Kirriemuir to start immediately
Pay rate: £13.90 Per Hour
Location: Kirriemuir
Hours: Double Day Shift (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm alternating weekly)
Contract: Ongoing Tempoarary (Permanent Opportunites for the right candidate)
Day in the life of a Machine Operator:
- Machine Operating
- Carrying out general day-to-day care, calibration and maintenance of machines
- Follow all health and safety standards and be proactive in improving health and safety awareness.
- Report any issues with fabric quality to Quality Control.
- Monitor coating quality and report any issues found, advise and assist with corrective actions where required.
- Make sure the machine is operating correctly to produce the required end product
- Ensure daily machine maintenance tasks are completed.
- Help and support with controls modifications and general improvements to fabric processing.
- Ensure machine areas and storage areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Complete paperwork accurately and ensure it is kept up to date.
- Manage personal time keeping and report any issues that affect your ability to work.
- Contribute to recycling and waste minimisation
- Maintain good general housekeeping.
What we are looking for:
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Minimum two years Machine Operating Experience
- Good communication skills
- Hardworking and conscientious
- Ability to work to a high standard
