We are currently recruiting for experienced registered Theatre Practitioners/Theatre Nurses and ODPs within our Theatre team. We would love to tell you about our team and our culture. Our area is committed to providing a high standard of patient care from 11 specialist theatres, 6 day unit theatres as well as initiating acute and chronic pain services. Our surgical specialties include: Maxillofacial, ENT, Gynaecology, Urology, Vascular, Upper GI, Colorectal, Breast and plastics, Acutes including Trauma.

You do not need any additional qualifications other than an active NMC/HCPC pin to be eligible for this post, but hold passion, enthusiasm and commitment to provide patient centered care. A positive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research evidence. A willingness to supervise and teach junior staff and colleagues and share learning through clinical supervision. The ability to work as an integral member of the team.
• Demonstrate and develop clinical assessment skills, and the ability to prioritise the care for patients undergoing a Surgical / Anaesthetic procedure.
• Actively supports patients and their families, communicating clinical information using a variety of methods, to ensure effective understanding.
• Contribute to the continuing development of patient care within the operating theatres, e.g. through sharing knowledge and expertise as required.
• Prepare and organise clinical area to receive patients for elective and emergency.
• To safely identify, prepare, check and assemble equipment required for the relevant operating list.
• Responsible for adhering to the NMC / HCPC professional Code of Conduct.
