Summary

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Are you looking for a new challenge?

We’re currently looking for Warehouse Operatives to join the Romix team, where we have vacancies on our 14.00pm to 22.00pm shift.

Functional Title: Warehouse Operative

Location: Leigh

Salary: £12.87 for training period increasing to £13.53ph when fully trained there will be an 8% shift allowance paid for afternoon shift.

As a Warehouse Operative you will receive and despatch goods safely using Counterbalance Forklift trucks. Key duties will involve:
• Raw Materials and Packaging
• Pre-kitting
• Finished goods
• Warehouse stock
• Hygiene and Housekeeping
• Health & Safety
Other Duties:
- You may be required to assist with pre-kitting or mixing of mixing batches, involving manual handlings of ingredients.

Knowledge, Skills, and abilities:
1. Hold a valid licence for Counterbalance Truck together with full competence in using these vehicles.
2. Ability to work on own initiative.
3. Numerate and computer literate.
4. Effective communication skills.

To be successful in this role you’ll have an excellent eye for detail, strong communication skills. The Ability to work on own initiative, a strong work ethic and a pro-active approach to everything you do. Previous experience within the food industry is not essential, we’re interested in hearing about the transferable skills you have, particularly if you have previous experience of working with machinery or within a factory environment.
