As a key member of our responsive repairs team, you’ll play a vital role in providing essential plumbing services to social housing tenants across the borough — ensuring homes are safe, comfortable, and well-maintained.

Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Plumber to carry out a range of domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance works within occupied social housing properties as part of our Westminster contract.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where your professionalism, technical expertise, and respect for residents’ homes will help uphold the high standards Morgan Sindall is known for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake a variety of plumbing tasks including repairs to pipework, taps, toilets, hot water systems, and drainage.
  • Respond to emergency callouts and routine maintenance requests.
  • Diagnose faults and determine the most effective solutions.
  • Complete work in accordance with current regulations, safety standards, and contract requirements.
  • Accurately record job details using handheld PDA devices.
  • Liaise professionally with tenants, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
  • Work as part of a wider multi-skilled repairs team.

What We’re Looking For:

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Plumbing.
  • CSCS Blue Card.
  • Proven experience in domestic plumbing, preferably within social housing or responsive maintenance.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant regulations and health & safety requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
