This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Therapy Assistant/Support worker to join one of our dynamic integrated Therapy Teams in surgery or medicine
You will have experience of working in an acute hospital setting with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy teams. The role will support the integrated therapy team and requires the individual to be organised, an effective communicator and strong team player.
You will work within an integrated model of care to provide timely assessments, optimising function and support with discharge planning for our patients.
We are looking for individuals who work well as part of a team and can contribute to innovative ideas on clinical pathways and can help drive forward excellence.
You must be adaptable to working with a range of patients and working environments with a flexible approach to the delivery of care. This must include a willingness to adopt working patterns that include weekends and public/bank holidays which may form part of your contracted hours or may include working additional hours.
Support will be provided by the integrated therapy team who will take a proactive and innovative approach to continuous professional development, evidence based practice and service development.
In addition, you will carry out a range of non-clinical duties related to the role.
Ability to work over 7 days , you will be expected to be flexible in terms of working patterns including weekends, bank holidays and extra hours if necessary.
