Hours: 6 Hours per week
Work Pattern Flexible
Hourly Rate of Pay: £12.21 per hour
Based at: The home address in Carlton colville, Lowestoft
Closing date: 3rd July 2025
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to support a 9-year-old boy both at home and in the community, ensuring his safety and welling is prioritised at all times during school holidays.
The young boy has autism, ADHD and sensory processing disorder. He enjoys being active, particularly spending time in parks and going for walks. At home, he loves playing in the garden building dens and playing board games.
He lives in Worlingham with his family, dog and two cats. He is a charming and affectionate child, and the ideal candidate will be someone who is calm, patient and compassionate.
There are aspects of personal care involved in this role e.g. support with toileting.
Personal Specification
Experience of working with children with SEN
Punctuality and reliability essential.
Flexible in the hours and times that you can work.
Be patient and supportive.
Be friendly and outgoing.
Be honest and trustworthy.
Be respectful of the child’s dignity, at all times.
Understand the need for privacy and confidentiality.
You should have a thorough understanding of personal safety.
A willingness to undergo any training highlighted by the employer.
You should have some knowledge and understanding of risks.

The post carries a 6-month probationary period.
